During The Adoption Wait

These pictures from earlier this month have helped this mama's heart in the wait, but one thing God is teaching me is to be ever present in the now. I've been soaking up my time with my other kiddos before we become a family of eight. Soon we will be finding our new normal again.
Some days it doesn't seem real that we get to adopt this precious boy. I am so grateful to God for this little one he placed before us.
There has been lot's of packing and cleaning going on this weekend as we gear up to leave for China on the 30th. The kiddos will be hanging with grandparents while we are away.
Please be praying for Teagan as his world is about to be turned upside down. Pray for his heart and  for God to give him understanding that only can come from him. For Teagan to attach to Joe and I both wile we are in China. For safety and health as we travel, and for our children that will be staying in Texas.

A Visit to GG's in the Country

It had been six months since we had seen Joe's precious Maw Maw. We love her dearly and were excited to head out to Caldwell to visit her. This place has such a special place in my heart because for Joe and I first date he took me here to meet his Paw Paw and Maw Maw for them to meet me and then he took me fishing.
When Joe's Paw Paw passed away a year and a half ago it was so hard on Joe, but we are so thankful for all the wonderful memories out there, and for Joe's Maw Maw.
Spring was all in bloom all around the property from all the wildflowers to the bird nests to the fish. The girls and I picked flowers for GG (Great Grandma) to them., and the boys fished with GG. I captured some sweet moments with Joe's Maw Maw the kids GG. :)
It was a precious day to spend with her.

Hiking Trials

The kids and I packed up water bottles and sketch books and headed to a nearby hiking trail to explore. We were barely on the trail and a Copperhead Snake slithered just inches from Mia, and because it was so Camo we Mia and I didn't see it. Cora screamed, "Snake!!!" So for the rest of the hike Mia was freaked out and wanted to be carried six miles and everyone was looking down. LOL No one wanted to sketch either, so we grabbed some lunch after our hike, and then went home to sketch Copper Head Snakes. Always an adventure with this Tribe.
