LOVE, wow it is powerful in word and deed. It changes lives from the inside out. We feel blessed to have gotten the call from God to adopt. Our first adoption was our precious Mia, we were in Love from the moment we saw her face. And our sweet Cora girl, I knew the moment I saw her she was ours. God knit two little girls in our hearts, and we are so grateful.
Both girls came home and had their own set of things to overcome. Adoption is beautiful and messy all at the same time. There is brokenness, and yet a beautiful redemption plan.
It's the perfect picture of our adoption as sons and daughters of Christ. We are a mess when we come to him, and he redeems us with such a beautiful and unexplainable love.
For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out "Abba Father!" Romas 8 14:15
I think so many Christians sit on the sidelines with this. Fear and excuses probably fill their minds. God doesn't want us to be a fearful people. We need to rest and trust his plan. How can you help the orphan. God calls it Pure Religion!!!!
Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained from the world. James 1:27
It is super easy to stick our heads in the sand. Out of sight out of mind. Right!!!! Well I know for me the day spent in the orphanage haunts me. Children clinging to my side calling me Mama and Joe Baba. Looking at you with desperation to take them from the Hell they are living in. It will rock your world!!!!! God wants you to see it. He wants you to be a part of their story. I want to give you some tangible ways to help.
