So Much fun in the Sun!!!!!!

We just got back from a great trip to Destin, Florida. It was so nice to get away and hang out on the beach. We have been so busy here, and my hubby had been studying for about 4 months 12 to 16 hours a day for his promotional test for the Fire Department. He took his test, and the next day we were on our way to Sunny Florida!!!!! Joe did AWESOME on his test and we are so proud of him. He will be a SR. Captain soon. Yeah Daddy!!!!!
This vacation was well needed after the past months, and it was such a blessing to get to go and enjoy our family. Lot's of firsts for my oldest Ethan.............he went Para sailing with daddy, ate mussels and oysters and lobster, surfed and boogied down on the pirate ship. :) Needless to say he had a great time. My other crew had so much fun too, and did a few new things like surfing and being a pirate for a day, but didn't venture into para sailing yet. :) It was so neat to watch the kids just loving the beach, They told us this was one of the Best vacations..
Mia had a great time too, it was like one GIANT beautiful sandbox for her and she loved getting down on the pirate ship too, and she had to participate in everything the boys were doing. Including a big ole pirate mustache.

The Hydrosphere

Hydrosphere is the water found on earth and that is just what we did today. Last week the boys gathered sand, dirt and small rocks and added water. We froze them to make Glaciers for our experiment this week.
A Glacier is a Large mass of ice that melts slowly right, the experiment was supposed to prove this to be true and show the minerals a glacier leaves behind when it melts. It did exactly that. Although the boys knew it would melt and move slowly, they were wanting their glaciers to race down the plank and see which glacier would win. Gotta love boys. When we got in the house to write what happened Corbin's observation was IT WENT REALLY SLOW. lol

About to place the Glaciers

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to My Mom, Mother in Laws, Grandmothers, and My Sweet Friends. I feel so blessed to be celebrating mother's day and rejoicing with the beautiful gifts the Lord has blessed me with. I LOVE LOVE being a mom to my Leggio Loves. So wonderful and honored and humbled all at the same time.
Our celebration started with our family teaching the 3rd and 4th grade at church. LOL and then on for some Mexican food with my parents, grandparents, brother, and sister and law and my sweet nephew Olie Bear.
My amazing husband had planned for me and my good friend Jen (also a homeschooling mother of 4) to go shopping for the rest of the afternoon. It was so nice to sip and have coffee and shop in stores you don't go in with 4 kids running around. :) While we were on our afternoon the hubby's manned the fort with all 8 kiddos. They took the kids tubing on the lake. Even Mia loved tubing with daddy, Corbin, and Halie. Joe sent me a video of her tubing while we were out shopping. It cracked me up!!!! Joe said she kept saying is it my turn daddy. Such a great day!!!!!!
And yes, I chopped my hair, dyed it black with some funky blue highlights. :) Why not!!!!!

Circus Birthday!!!!!!!

Whewww, we celebrated our two littles bdays today with friends and family. Corbin turned 7 and little Mia turned 3. It was so fun to celebrate these two blessings. Corbin and Mia are quite the little hams of the family, and are always making us laugh, It was fun to watch Mia enjoy having a birthday party. Last year this time we had only been home a month and she was still so overwhelmed we didn't do a big celebration. This year we had a Circus party and combined it with brother too. Corbin and Mia's bday's are a week apart. :0

So below is wayyyyyyy picture overload, but this is where I try to capture and put our family memories. The kids were having so much fun it was hard not to keep snapping pics.

Happy Birthday Corbin

Our sweet baby boy (who is not a baby anymore) turned 7. Something about 7 years old seems like he crossed over to big boy status. OH my how we love this sweetie. He is such a sweetheart, and he is always making us laugh.
We are so proud of you Corbin and Love you bunches!!!!
Because of the big boy status Corbin wanted his own pet. So what are we to do but cave to this cutie and take him to the pet store. :) He decided on a Black Bear Hamster and named her Liz. She is such a cute little thing and Corbin is doing well with his first pet. I made sure to ask if we would be expecting any hamster babies from this little cutie and I was assured that we were good before we left the pet store with Liz. LOL

Oh the delight in his eyes!!!!! He always has a special twinkle that God gave him.
