Pearl River is an Awesome ministry helping China Orphans have the Loving Care of a Foster Family while they await for God to unite them with their Forever Families. Having adopted our sweet and precious China girl from an orphanage, we know this need is very instrumental to their development. Children in the orphanages can spend up to 20 hours a day in their cribs. Our sweet precious girl was very malnourished and a very very tiny failure to thrive little peanut who would arch away from us because she had never been held much. Pearl River helps with this by getting children the care, food and clothing they need to thrive and be Loved. Such an AWESOME ministry.
Pearl River is doing a fundraiser for their Bamboo Babies. You have a chance to help the orphan and win some cool stuff too. I challenge you to go with one less Starbucks this week and donate that $5.00 to the orphan. :)
As the Bible says...............Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. James 1:27
One of my friends who always challenges me spiritually said to me once.........I wasn't put on this earth to be comfortable. I can be comfortable when I am in Heaven. She is an adoptive mamma with 6 soon to be 7 kiddos. :)

I am just amazed by God when I look at these children. I feel so honored to be able to be their mommy. I tear up thinking about it. What a blessing children are to us. What precious gifts from the Lord.

To say we have been busy is an understatement............I am so behind in everything and feel like I am running ragged. This has been a busy year for us so my blog posts have been fewer and farther between. Below is A LOT of pics of this past week. I have more pics of a children's Museum Field Trip and boy scouts that I haven't posted yet.
Oh................and one big thing is that I finished my Chosen Half Marathon. I was sooooo excited. It was really AWESOME to see all the families with all their babies from all over the world and knowing you were running for them was very motivating. It was an rush. Along the run there were pics of kids that were brought home last year and signs saying More than a Race. It was truly amazing and I can't wait to do it again next year. My time was 2 hours and 50 minutes. Where we ran was very very hilly and this was my first run EVER, so my goal was to finish in under 3 hours and I did.
Mia had lot's of firsts this month, Her first Trick or Treat and her first Pumpkin Patch. All that she loved.
