36 days of Waiting for RA

Well we are 36 days into our wait for RA (Referral Acceptance) This is a hard wait, I already know in my heart that this is my daughter, and have known even before we saw her picture. We have been fixing up her room, and shopping for her clothes. I have been wanting to buy ruffle leggings for her and just found the cutest shop an etsy with ruffle clothes. Check it out.....................................

Club Lighting

Our neighborhood had their annual club lighting, Santa comes, Rudolph the red nose reindeer and they turn the lights on at the country club. They have games, pics with Santa, cocoa and cookies, they bring snow in and a ramp and let the Texas kids pretend they are sledding (Sad but true LOL), jump houses, train and camel rides. Fun Times. Well poor daddy took most of the pics but we got him in one pic.

A Mama and Her Boys

I feel so blessed to have these 3 boys, they bring such joy and keep this mama on her toes. They are going to be some awesome big brothers to Mia. Don't mind my double chin LOL, we were being silly and trying to take a pic of ourselves. Homeschooling................Do I love it..................Yes....................Is it stressful....................Yes......................Is it Sanctifying........................Yes (I see my own sin come out in my children)...............Would I change it.....................No. I love being with my kiddos and walking with them on their journey to the Lord. I am not saying we are perfect or my kiddos are perfect..............they are still children and struggle with getting along, obeying, telling the truth. I am glad I am there to point them to Christ when they fall. Here is some pics below of our Science last week. We planted Radish seeds and created to environments for them to grow in. We were trying to prove that things grow well in tropical climates like the rain forests. We have been studying Brazil this past week, and the rainforest's. We have also been reading Nate Saint who was a missionary to a tribe in South America.

She is loving her longer hair and here is a funny little clip of this precious girl, saying what her long hair will do to our son Corbin (who is 5). 30 Days and Waiting

Well 30 days have passed by as we wait for our RA. They have been very eventful days of waiting.

On November 10th my little nephew Oliver was born. What a precious day. He is the first for my brother and sister n law who waited over 6 years for this little one. :) He looks just like my brother, but you can see characteristics of my sister n law too. (He scrunches up his forhead, just like she does)

Also on November 10th my wonderful friend from California, surprised me and flew in with her little girl Morgan. They stayed five days with our family. Morgan just turned 2 and over a year had went by since I had seen her. She was growing up so fast and I was missing seeing it, so my sweet friend came so we could catch up and play with Morgan. It was also good to see how the boys would be with a 2 year old running around the house seeing as our little Mia is 19 months and counting. :)

I will post pics soon of my new nephew and my visit from my friend. In the midst of that we also got sick. All of us got a bad head cold and cough. Oh, and on the 19th my sweet friends threw me a baby shower for our sweet daughter Mia. The theme Chopsticks and Cheesecake. I will post pics of that too. Boy do I need to get on the ball. LOL

Oh, there is a precious family who I met through the blogging world that is in Gansu Province getting their daughter Charlotte (Same province as where our sweet little one is). Please join in prayer for them as they adjust to each other, pray for Charlotte to have peace knowing that this is her forever family and they are not going anywhere. Also for Charlotte to open up to her Baba too. You can follow there journey at http://prayingforpink.blogspot.com/

I hope all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Remember our Lord and Savior and give thanks to him for all his abundant blessings. He is an awesome God!!!!!!!

Mia's 100 Good Wishes Quilt

While we wait for our sweet baby girl, we will be working on collecting fabric for her 100 Good Wishes Quilt.

To welcome and celebrate new life, there is a tradition in northern China to make a Bai Jia Bei (pronounced "bye-jee-a-bay"), or 100 good Wishes Quilt. It is custom to invite friends and family to contribute a patch of cloth with a wish for the baby. Part of the patch goes into a quilt for the baby and the other part of the cloth goes into a memory notebook with the wish for the child. The quilt contains the luck, energy, and good wishes from all the families and friends who contributed a piece of fabric. The quilt then is passed on from generation to generation.

How You Can Help With Mia's 100 Good Wishes Quilt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Following Chinese Tradition, we invite you to contribute an 8x8  100% cotton cloth, along with a 2x2 inch swatch of the same color, and a piece of paper (card stock or index card) with your wish for Mia. the bigger piece will go into the quilt and the smaller piece will go into a memory book with the wish for Mia to cherish as she grows older and reads all the good wishes sent to her.

If you would like to contribute you can mail your cloth and wish to

P.O. Box 866
Montgomery, Texas 77356

Thank you for making this 100 good Wishes Quilt Special.
