Sante Fe and Wonderful Weather

Well We left the Texas heat and headed to Sante Fe New Mexico. Wonderful Weather we had visiting my parents. We took the 13 hour drive with the kiddos. Luckily I have wonderful travelers, I hope that comes in handy on our trip to China. We were welcomed with wonderful fall weather something that we weren't getting in Texas. :) We visited Bandelier National Park, and The Children's Museum in Sante Fe, the Palace of the Governor, we also went into Albuquerque. We enjoyed our trip, it was a nice break from school. We took a lot of pics so here are some of them.

WE ARE DTC!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One Step Closer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YEAH!!!!!! We are DTC as of October 21st. Now we wait to be Logged in and then the wait for LOA (Letter of Approval or RA referral acceptance). So what have we been doing???? Well we went to Sante Fe New Mexico to visit my parents and had a great time. Pics soon to follow, I just haven't had time to upload them yet. It was nice to get away and spend time as a family. My mom and I got a girl day and went shopping. We went to BABY GAP (My Favorite) and hit this awesome sale and bought our sweet baby girl some cute, cute clothes. Then my mom and I decided she needed hair bows so we went to Hobby Lobby and bought ribbon, head bands, and other goodies. We stayed up late talking and making hair bows on headbands (Baby girl doesn't have any hair :) ) We made 15 fun bows!!!!!!! We had a great week. The boys enjoyed going to Bandelier National Park, and the Children Museum in Sante Fe. Our boys did indoor rock climbing and that was so fun to watch them do. They were so brave. Hope all is well with all of you and I will post pics very soon.

We are in a drought here in Texas and it finally rained. Yeah.
My kids so excited took advantage

Baby Oliver's Shower

I threw my sister n law a baby shower. They are having their first baby and it is a little boy Oliver Lawrence Longstreet Steenwyk. My sister n law is the prettiest pregnant women I know. She glows with beauty. I didn't get a lot of pics with my Camera, so I will have to post more when they send me some pics. It was a lovely shower with her friends and family. She got a lot of stuff, which is wonderful. We can't wait to meet you Olie. She is due November 4th. She is also having this baby natural, I was to chicken I needed the epidural :). Congratulations Josh and Tammy !

Homeschooling Days

Well here we are, our classroom. I really love homeschooling my kids, what greater joy to see them grown in the Lord and their gifts. We have our days where it is crazy, but the good out weighs the bad days. We are using My Fathers World Exploring Country and Cultures and love it. We are learning about missionaries, doing projects (like our world cake the boys made), learning about continents and countries, and the people who live their. Also how we can pray for that people group. It makes the kids so much more aware of the world they live in. Not just their small realm of their world. This also works perfectly with us traveling to China soon to get our daughter. (Which I can't wait to share pics on the blog. hopefully soon. Waiting for LOA) I feel so blessed by the Lord with these three boys and soon to be daughter. What precious gifts from the Lord. Just wanted to share some of what we are doing. Daddy also needs credit, he is the principal of our school and helps out with science projects which he is really naturally gifted that way. :)
