Our Home For Sale

Well we listed our Home, and are hoping to sell to build on our property. If you know anyone wanting to buy in Texas let us know.

Earthworm Niches

For Science one week we made Earthworm Niches with live Big, Yucky Earthworms. The boys thought it was cool. Mommy helped with the soil, but I wasn't down with putting the worms in. That was up to the boys and daddy. We had to observe them for a week and then dump the soil out and see what happened. It was cool!!!!!!!! Did I say I Love Homeschooling!!!!!!!!!!

Houston Fire Museum

Daddy to took us to the Houston Fire Museum. They have a kid area with a firetruck, pole, house, lockers with gear. The boys had fun pretending to be fireman like their daddy. Like Father Like Son. These boys adore their daddy and always want to be like him. Not to brag , but he is one of the most amazing fathers I have ever known. He loves the Lord and his family, and wants to do what is right in the eyes of the Lord. He is a very hands on dad that plays with the boys all the time and takes them places and spends quality time with them. He's the GREATEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1st Field Trip for the 2011- 2012 year Houston Zoo

I took the boys to the Houston Zoo, it was a recommended field trip for our Homeschool. We looked at all the animals and what countries and continents they were from. We had a good time. It was soooooo hot though. That's Texas summers for you. My little guys were big troopers and we had fun together. We are doing My Fathers World Country and Cultures and are loving it and having fun together learning as a family. I love homeschooling these boys. :)

Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!! I have our Final Home Study going tomorrow to mail our I800A. I am so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Joe has been praying sweet prayers over our little girl that we don't know yet. He prays God would send her visions of us and be preparing her heart for us to get her. What an amazing Daddy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We talked to America World our adoption agency about how the waiting child works and how we get a referral from them. That was very informative, but for now we file our I800a and they say it takes 1 1/2 to 2 months to get our I800A approval back. Will keep you posted. :)

Please pray for Halie Pigott and her family

Our dear sweet friends whose little girl has been battling Neuroblastoma High Risk Stage 4 (Cancer) scanned in July and everything looked good, but there was an inconclusive spot on her leg and they are rescanning her at the end of this month. Please pray that she is already healed as God has done amazing things in this sweet child, and for her continued healing and that God will defeat this. Pray for my sweet friend Jen for peace this month and every month and day she has to deal with this. Lord sweep over this sweet family who loves you and hold them tight in your gentle arms. We love you Pigott Family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can follow Halie's story her blog is listed under blog's I follow. And if you look down at our 4th of July picks you can see sweet Halie playing with the kiddos.

Some pics and a little update

Here are my sweet boys Corbin 5, Austin 7, and Ethan 9. I love these guys so much. They are wonderful and all boy. They are very excited about getting their sister Mia and ask almost everyday. They are so sweet to pray for her everyday, and for God to keep her safe and that she will know us when she sees us.
Last month we were crazy busy and August looks a little slower, we have been schooling all summer and really got back into the swing of everything the last month or so. We can't wait for some cooler weather here in Texas and some rain. I figure why stop schooling when my kiddos don't even want to be outside in this scorching heat. :) Gotta love Texas summers.
We had a conference call with our adoption agency this morning about being on the Waiting Child end. It was very informative, but they can't tell us a day or month or anything when we will get to see our daughter. So right now we wait on the Lord that he knows who she is. We have our Final Home Study Approval and are waiting for the 3 originals to file our I800A. Our agency said we should be DTC (Documents to China) by October, and hopefully get logged in the CCCWA system. WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So any one of you that remember pray for our precious Mia to get home soon.

Homeschool Conference

Joe and I had the privledge of attending the Texas Home School Coalition Homeschool Conference. We both had never attended it, and were blown away with all the sweet homeschooling families and their love for their children and homeschooling. We only got to go on Friday, but hopefully next year we will be able to attend all weekend and let the kiddos go to the kids camp they have for them. Hopefully we will have our sweet Mia with us who can stay with mommy and daddy (she can just tote around with us to the different speakers). :) I learned so much and what a renewing time to get as a homeschool parent. We listened to Andrew Pudewa who gave such applicable things for us to do with raising boys and teaching boys and for girls too. Sally Clarkson was very encouraging, this was the first time I had heard her speak and I was blown away. I love that we live in Texas and that we have the oppurtunity to raise our children with a Godly heritage and be together as a family. I love that we can show them the importance of God, and family life. What a wonderful thing to be able to do. This year we are trying My Fathers World Countries and Cultures. We thought this fitting since we are inthe process of adopting from China for the boys to learn about different countries and cultures, and about missionaries to those countries, the science is also tied to the country of origin. Pretty cool !!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully I will post some of the things we will be doing throughout the school year on here. We built worm niches and we have some pics and video on that and I will post soon. I hope anyone considering homeschooling would look to scripture and pray and know yes you can do this with your children. So excited for this year. We have already started. We go year round, especially in Texas when it is so hot outside why not stay in and do school. We like to play in the fall and winter. :)
